The Night Safari is the world's first nocturnal zoo, and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Singapore. The Night Safari currently houses more than 900 animals representing more than 100 species, of which 41 percent are endangered. The comprehensive park is divided into seven different zones representing seven different climatic conditions. In each area animals that belong to that particular climate are housed. The numerous zones within the park include Equatorial Africa, Indian Subcontinent, Himalayan Foothills, Asian Riverine Forest, Nepalese River Valley, Indo-Malayan Region, and Burmese Hillside. The most common way to experience the safari is by tram ride. However, the trip also has a beautiful walking track, illuminated by the moonlight. The Fishing Cat Trail, the Wallaby Trail, and the Leopard Trail are a few trails that you will see on this trip. Near the Leopard Trail, there are 2 aviaries which house the flying squirrel and the flying fox in Malay. In their natural environment, we are very unusual, and great to observe. You also have the Thumbuakar show, where pyro warriors surprise you with their fire dancing and fire eating skills. It is accompanied by a 20 min immersive display called The Monsters of the Night. During this series, nocturnal animals such as the civet cat, hyena, otter, binturong, etc. will be showcasing their talents.
